THE STRANGE UNDOING OF PRUDENCIA HART

Performed as part of a college showcase of selected scenes, this 7 minute extract was directed by Padraic Riddle and Fraser Lockhart using NC students at Edinburgh College.

This was my first directing project and was a great opportunity to experiment and take risks as well as have more creative control over an entire performance including set, costume, lighting and sound. The rehearsal process took place over a couple months and we worked with a focus on building a strong sense of ensemble and exploring in depth the relationship between the plays main protagonists, Prudencia and the Devil. As this rehearsal process and performance was still assessed it was also a fantastic lesson in the level of organisation and preparation needed as a director.
